FAQs
Is this donation tax deductible? Riverside Education Centers is a non-profit 501(c)3. Tax ID 20-5451495. All monetary donations to REC are eligible for a 29% Colorado state tax credit. This is a nonrefundable credit which can be carried forward for up to five years and applied to any state tax liability you may have during this time period. Qualifying donations will receive a Form DR-1317 from REC. Please retain the form and provide it to your tax preparer when you complete your annual income tax return. Please note, you should consult your own tax advisor to determine the specific tax benefits, including deductions and tax credits your donation may provide.
Why is there a processing fee? Credit card processors take a cut of each transaction. The processing fee is 2.9% + .30 cents per transaction. You have the option to cover these fees so 100% of your gift can go to REC. If you don't want to cover the fees you can click on the edit button next to fees and uncheck 'I want to cover fees.'
How do I edit a recurring plan? You can edit or cancel your recurring plan at any time, whether or not you have a Givebutter login. The easiest way to edit your recurring plan is to click the management link at the bottom of any Givebutter receipt. The options you can change at any time include: *amount of the donation *frequency of the donation *status of the plan – Active, Paused, or Canceled *date of the next recurring charge *payment method – credit or debit card used, as applicable *processing fee settings For more infomation go to https://help.givebutter.com/en/articles/4529176-how-to-edit-and-manage-your-recurring-donation
